Brief History
The school has been established in the fond memory of Sardarni Jaswinder Kaur Sohi W/o Sardar Balbir Singh Sohi (Retd. Deputy Regd. Cooperative Societies) resident of village Gigamajra near Bagrian , District Sangrur, (Pb.).
Born and brought up in an eminent family of Zaildars of Jodhan ( Distt. Ludhiana ) . She imbibed high moral and religious values and was married into the Sohi family of same status and repute . She was kind , humble and noble and always took care of needy and downtrodden people . Even the dreaded disease of cancer could not deter her from performing her pious deeds till her last breath . When she was approaching to meet her cosmic master she wished that all her assets be utilized in the field of service and mankind , preferably in education and health . On 15th of August , 2012 she left for her heavenly abode. Her better half Sardar Balbir Singh Sohi took the solemn pledge to fulfill her noble desire .
Friends and family members joined him in accomplishing the mission which led to the formation of "The Bagrian Welfare Society , Bagrian" Sardar and Sardarni Karnail Singh Sandhar , NRI's from Canada , stepped forward to contribute by donating 3 acres of prime land in Bagrian . Sardar Balbir Singh Sohi under took to bear the entire cost of construction of State of Art school building . Sardar Harbachan Singh and Sardar Harbhajan Singh from village Salar, Expressed their willingness to contribute generously for development and expansion of the project .
The society was formed by the joint dedicated efforts of few selfless devoted individuals who have genuine concern for the down trodden of the area . Col. Daya Singh Khaira , Ex. Headmaster P.P.S. Nabha and Educationist is giving force . He has also been joint by Dr. Amarjit Singh Sawhney , Ex. Secretary ( Medical Specialist ) , Sardar Balwinder Singh , Ex. Sarpanch Gigamajra , Sh. Sanjeev Batra (Distt. Attorney Pb.), Sardar Rajbir Singh Inspector (Retd.) , S.S. Dhindsa LIC officer cooperatively joined in accomplishing this mission.
